Much Better!
Cats: Personal, Adoption, Kids|We got the loan we were hoping for, and we’re starting to get everyone paid for our adoption expenses. Thankfully our tax credit will cover the loan without difficulty as soon as I can get our 2008 return filed next February, so I’m not even that worried about the extra debt. Granted, it’d be much nicer if we could have paid for it up front, but getting our house ready to sell has taken more of our time & money than we had expected. Suppose we sold our house last year when we put in on the market in the first place: we wouldn’t have had to make all the updates to our old house, we would’ve been much closer to work and saved money on gas & eating out. We also would not have used an extra week of vacation this January to update our house, so we’d have had more time off for our child’s birth. Sigh. God is sovereign, and I know this is somehow for the best. I just have to think we would have done things differently from a spending standpoint if we knew we’d be in this situation so soon. I guess that’s what we get for presuming on the future.
