Hey there, I’m Dones. This blog is about me. If I tried to have a different blog about each of my interests or particular aspects of my life, I couldn’t keep track. So I keep an eclectic blog (hence the name ‘Random Acts of Mind’) where I can just deposit my thoughts, rants, joys, hardships, and so forth.

All readers of this blog are welcome to submit comments to every post. Feel free to tell me I’m nuts, or that you agree with me, or more importantly why you might disagree with me. The more discussion, the better. (This offer excludes any kind of comment spam, which shall be summarily removed at my sole discretion, causing the IP of the author to be banned without notice.)

I intend this blog to be a place where I can feel comfortable journaling and sharing my online and offline life with those lucky enough to find this space on the web. I also hope to connect with past, present, and future friends. A word about my desire for personal anonymity: There are some people I deal with on a professional basis who don’t need to find this site. If I have given you a link to this site, then I have chosen to deal with the consequences of you reading some of my most heartfelt (and sometimes, ill-conceived) thoughts and feelings…Basically, I reserve the right not to give my creditors or employers this website, and for the same reason I keep my ownership of this domain private. I also strive to keep web searches for my name from leading to this place. As such, I trust the readers who know me to maintain my anonymity in discussions both on this site and on their own sites. For example, please don’t include my real name in your comments, or in links from your website to this one.

Finally, a quick legal disclaimer: The majority of the content posted on this site is created and owned solely by me. Please don’t reproduce it without at least acknowledging me as the source and linking back to the site (ideally to the individual post in question). I always endeavor to do the same with any content I post that does not originate from me. If I fail at that, I expect the originator of the content in question to please contact me amicably before involving any sort of attorney. In general, I work under the assumption that most items I use which are copyrighted by someone else are used by me on this blog under fair-use allowances for news, commentary and/or satire.
