The social worker just called: the birth mother finished signing all her papers to relinquish her parental rights. Now the social worker is coming to the hospital to deliver those papers and to have us sign the placement! God is so good! We’ve got about 6-8 weeks until the adoption is finalized (after the unknown father’s rights are terminated in court) and then he’s OURS!

My good friend told me today “you’re already a family, the rest is just paperwork.”

He’s so right.
