Random Acts of Mind by Dones

I start back to work today. I’m working this weekend, Friday-Sunday, then taking 2 days off as intermittent FMLA leave each week until our little boy is about a month old. That’s the earliest the sitter would take him, and I can understand why, given the amount of attention a newborn needs.

So Jessie will be by herself with him all weekend. She had a migraine yesterday; I’m sure she would appreciate your prayers: for sleep (or rest) when Joshua is asleep, patience with the dog and cats, and so on.

Please pray for me, too, that I won’t be so worn out after work that I couldn’t help out (I’m sure I’ll need to take over at night for a while), that I get to mow sometime this weekend, that our house inspection goes well on Monday so our house will sell.

Also, we’re just on the edge financially. This adoption happened much faster than we had expected, and while we’re blessed to have plenty of income to make it overall, the cash flow just isn’t there at the moment.  Please pray that we’ll get the loan we need to make it all work out, and to keep attorneys, doctors, and adoption agency happy. I’ve also got Alicia Keys tickets for sale for May 1st in the Sprint Center in KC. We bought them as Jessie’s birthday present, but we’re not gonna be able to go now.
