It’s Really Happening!
Cats: Adoption, Personal|We had our first baby shower today at work. Everyone we work with has been amazingly supportive. I think the short notice actually contributes to their excitement, since the birth & adoption is so imminent. Well, their attitudes are building mine up, and it’s great to feel an emotion other than worry & nervousness.
On Monday I went and picked up a crib & bassinet from our friends, took down the guest room and started putting up a nursery. Then, today, we got a new crib mattress. Bringing in all the shower presents and then putting the crib mattress in the crib? That’s what finally made it real to me…I’m gonna be a daddy!!! T-minus one week!!!

I am so over the moon for you two, what a gift God has given you two and what a great heritage this child will be brought up in! You two will make great parents!!
